Verge de France A5 Writing Tablet

Social stationery at its finest.

The Verge de France collection is the signature range from Parisienne stationer George Lalo.

Each A5 (21x14.8cm) bloc includes 50 blank sheets of 100gsm acid free laid paper.

The paper has a 25% cotton content.

Verge paper has the look and feel of handmade paper. It even has the grid of parallel translucent lines ("vergeures") made as the paper was laid to dry. These grids are very helpful as guides for handwriting. The cotton content adds a lovely softness to the feel of each sheet.

Available in 7 colours and also A4 size. (please note the paper colour is seen through the small oval on the cover of the pad)

A word on colour; it is hard to pick up the subtle nature of the colours on these papers when photgraphing them. Worth noting is that the white is an off white (light cream) and the extra white is really a true white.

There are matching tissue lined envelopes available in both C6 (for A5) and DLE (for A4) sizes.

Verge paper is made at the 400-year-old Papierfabriek Schut in the Netherlands for George Lalo.

Colour Variations

All of our pounamu is sourced from riverbeds and boulders in the South Island, and especially the West Coast. The colour and markings of each stone vary according to its river source. The item shown is representative of the current stock however each item is a unique piece of stone hewn by nature and will have it’ own variation of colour and composition.
